Reclining.

No.25 I like the laziness of this pose. When I'd finished it I looked in the mirror & put my arm in the same pose. Anatomically impossible....oops. That's artistic licence for you!

Big Hair

No.24 Another sketch, another girl. I find hair quit tricky & it's something I need to work on. I tried drawing her hair with a curl to it but it seemed to get bigger & bigger! Less is definitely more.

Doodle

No.23 I could doodle all day. The best ones are often when on the phone!

Cup & Saucer

No.22 Just a quick pen & watercolour.

Tulips

No.21 This pen & watercolour is for my sister in law Shelley. She is lovely, has great taste & a gorgeous house. Hope this will look nice framed & on her wall.

Beets

No.20 Beets (not by Dre!) I saw a photograph of beetroots on Pinterest & loved the colours. In fact I love beetroot. I make a mean beetroot & feta salad!

Cheese Plant Girl

No.19 This was a bit of fun. Girl sat in her pants on the phone next to her beloved cheese plant. I think I'd quite like a cheese plant, so 70's!

Jane&Adele

No.18 This was a commission. Great friends of ours that have just bought a flat in a lovely old converted school in East London. The brief was quite loose and this is what transpired. They are lively, fun & colourful ladies. My son described it as 'joyful'! Lots of detail in this so it took 3 days but I'm happy with it. I hope they are too!

Drippy & cosmic!

No.17 This is my best face, ever! I spent a day doing this. I love the colours & pattern. The two don't marry well. I think there is too much space. Also, the hairstyle makes her look dated.

Dungarees

No.16 Apparently they are in for s/s 2013. I remember wearing them in the early 90s so I don't think I will be donning a pair this time round. Look good on this young lass though. She did have a pair of shades on her head but I'm not great at drawing them so I got rid!

Fresia

No.15 Love the smell of these sweet and delicate flowers. Reminds me of being a kid in Guernsey (huge exporters of fresia's back then). They also last for ages & are relatively cheap. This was a quick pen & watercolour. Simple!

Black & white poppy design

No.14 This contemporary combination of flowers & seed heads was done with the intention of printing it (either Lino or silkscreen). One day!
